Nganeko first joined us as an advocate for our rangatahi, a role that naturally evolved into working with our archived content dating back to the very beginnings of the station. Her passion for te reo Māori and storytelling led her to create and host her own reo Māori show, Te Pao, celebrating Aotearoa’s singers and songwriters.

Nganeko also played a key role in delivering our regional news service until its conclusion in 2025.

 

She is now the voice behind our bilingual afternoon show, Te Kai Miromiro, airing weekdays from 4pm.

 

Outside of mahi, Nganeko is a devoted māmā to three beautiful tamariki, and a talented singer-songwriter. Her waiata are often featured on our airwaves, showcasing her creativity and connection to music.
