Welcome to Te Korimako o Taranaki 94.8FM

Te Korimako is the only Māori radio station in the region and brought to you by the eight tribes of Taranaki.

The station has been onair since 1992 keeping the region informed and entertained. We broadcast a variety of programmes in te reo Māori and English flavoured with a general music mix of R & B, Rap, Hip Hop, Reggae, Top 40, Local Artists, and Waiata Māori etc. Some of the programmes are "Current Affairs", "Māori Youth Magazine Show", "Sports Show", "Classic Show" and other various music shows that are included on this website.

Te Korimako O Taranaki is the vibrant voice of Taranaki Māori on the airwaves.

LICENSE HOLDER

Te Rūnanga o Te Reo Irirangi o Taranaki Charitable Trust is the license holder to the FM frequency 94.8FM. The Rūnanga consists of representatives from the eight iwi of Taranaki. Te Korimako O Taranaki is mainly funded by Te Mangai Pāho - The Māori Broadcasting Funding Agency.
